Alive by the Bay 2024 kicks off June 25th - here's what to know:
Tuesday, June 25th, marked the season’s first of four Alive by the Bay street festivals in downtown Bay Shore.

Here are some things to know before you go:
- Some of Long Islands best restaurants are right here in downtown Bay Shore.
- This is a family friendly event and is fun for people of all ages. Alcohol is served but is limited to sectioned off areas and individual bars/restaurants’ properties.
- There are no open containers/no alcohol permitted on Main Street or any other areas except for within licensed establishments and within the confines of their properties.
- Town of Islip Parking Meters ARE IN EFFECT as per their usual hours.
- Crossing guards will be on hand to ensure the safety of pedestrians crossing Maple Ave.
- Please try to avoid using Maple Ave & 4th Ave during evenings when these events are scheduled.
- Main Street will reopen at 10pm.
- We encourage anyone who might be drinking to use mass transit (David’s Taxi Co, LIRR, Uber, etc.).
- Last call for FOOD & DRINKS ON SIDEWALKS ONLY IS 8:45PM and is STRICTLY ENFORCED. You may continue having a great time within the local bars & restaurants.
- Alive By The Bay Events are weather dependent. If there is inclement weather, there will be updates and notifications on our Instagram and Facebook Pages.
- SCPD and Private Security Companies will be on-site before, during and after all events for your safety. Please cooperate with all local rules & regulations to ensure a safe and fun environment.
- Main Street closes at 5pm between Shore Lane & Maple Ave (4th Ave) and then again from Maple Ave (4th Ave) to Smith Street. Maple Ave (4th Ave) will remain open for all Alive By The Bay Events and there are multiple alternate routes to the Fire Island Ferries and our beautiful waterfront restaurants/businesses.
- There will be vendors up and down Main Street and opportunities for kids to get involved in the arts courtesy of Pinot’s Palette at the bandshell, and other arts and crafts vendors. There will be bounce houses, face painting and ice cream trucks, all towards the west end of Main Street.
- The festival’s chief sponsor is Northwell Health’s Southside Hospital, and the chief beer sponsor is Constellation Brands; Corona, Corona Light, Modelo Especial and Ballast Point. Bay Shore’s four craft breweries; DUBCO (Destination Unknown Beer Co), Fire Island Beer Co., Great South Bay and The Brewers Collective will all be represented and offering beer from their own beer gardens.
